Survey on the changes to admission of trainee solicitors in Scotland.

As you may be aware, in November the Law Society of Scotland revised their admissions regulations. One of the main changes is that trainee solicitors can now apply for admission after 3 months instead of 12. You can find out more on the Law Society of Scotland website.

If you are concerned about how this change may impact you the Law Society of Scotland has a trainee helpline who will provide confidential advice and assistance.

Between 20 and 31 December 2019 the SYLA undertook a survey of its membership to gather views on these new changes. You can download the report here.
