The SYLA are pleased to announce its 2009 CRIMINAL DAY CONFERENCE taking place at the Corinthian in Glasgow on Saturday 28 November.
This year boasts a prominent line up of speakers with topics including the sexual offences bill, cross-examination and jury speeches. We shall be joined by Mike Jones QC who will be discussing the effective eliciting of evidence from expert witnesses, Mungo Bovey QC speaking on mental health, Solicitor Advocates John Scott, Gary McAteer, Krista Johnston and Divisional Procurator Fiscal in Glasgow, Shona Barrie.
The day will be chaired by solicitor Martha Rafferty and promises to be a must for the enthusiastic criminal practitioner.
The only way to end a conference is with a beer or glass of wine or two:
The SYLA Criminal Conference 2009 will be followed by an evening drinks reception being held within the Slouch Bar at the Corinthian; continuing with our Scottish theme there will be a Ceilidh DJ providing the entertainment for the evening.
