Welcome to the Scottish Young Lawyers' Association
The Scottish Young Lawyers’ Association (SYLA) is Scotland’s leading membership organisation for junior lawyers. Our objectives are to educate, represent and entertain our members. Our membership is comprised of law students to solicitors of up to 10 years’ post-qualification-experience or advocates up to 10 years called.
The SYLA is run by junior lawyers, for junior lawyers, and boasts a membership of over 4,000 individuals from all over Scotland. We produce over 60 events each year, which are delivered by eminent members of the Scottish legal profession. We host a podcast, write blogs, issue weekly updates to our mailing list, and cultivate commentary on issues affecting junior lawyers and the future of the legal profession.
