SCOTTISH YOUNG LAWYERS' ASSOCIATION ANNUAL LECTURE, SPONSORED BY DIGBY BROWN SOLICITORS

On Friday 1 April 2011, members of the Scottish Young Lawyers' Association (SYLA) were joined by the Deputy President of the UK Supreme Court, Lord Hope of Craighead, for an address on the occasion of the SYLA Inaugural Annual Lecture.

Lord Hope delivered an insightful and inspiring address, tackling the very topical subject of "Scots law seen from south of the border". A stimulating discussion followed the conclusion of the address, allowing for reflection on the role of the young lawyer in the Scottish jurisdiction today, and in future.

A copy of Lord Hope's address is available here.

The SYLA would like to thank Lord Hope for his address, Digby Brown Solicitors for kindly sponsoring the event, and all members who attended on the evening.
