January 2009:

The Glasgow SYLA team welcomed experienced SFA qualified coach Atif Bashir to join the squad as Head Coach and Team Manager. Atif brings to the squad a wealth of experience both of coaching and managing football teams.

The SYLA team have had a so-so start to the new year, having drew 4-4 in a vital league cup game. SYLA are still in the running for the League cup and are due to play Maccabi on the 15th of February for a place in the semi-final.
