Laura graduated in 2006 from Strathclyde University Law School; thereafter obtaining her Diploma in Legal Practice at GGSL. Laura then travelled to Texas to undertake an internship with the charity Reprieve, which assists impoverished defendants facing the death penalty.
Upon return she commenced her traineeship with the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service in 2007; spending 3 months of her first year seconded to the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, for the UN, in the Hague; she is currently placed in the Glasgow Office.
Laura was elected as Vice-President of the SYLA in July 2009. Previously, Laura has been Secretary from May 2008 to May 2009, and a Committee Member since October 2007.
